Three new board members for Cambridge Ahead




Cambridge Ahead, the business and academic member organisation which promotes sustainable growth and quality of life, has welcomed three new members to its operational board.

The new members are:

  • Dr Richard Anthony, bursar, Jesus College, University of Cambridge – Richard trained as a chartered accountant in the city and is also a member of the University of Cambridge finance committee.
  • Kirsty Gill, chief people officer at Arm. Kirsty, who is on Arm’s executive committee, graduated from the University of Cambridge.
  • Christopher Walkinshaw, group director, external relations and communications, Marshall of Cambridge. He joined Marshall in 1983.

Meanwhile, three board members are retiring from the role: Nicholas Bewes, of Howard Group, Andy Williams, of AstraZeneca, and Matthew Bullock, former master of St Edmund’s College, Cambridge.

Cambridge Ahead chair Harriet Fear thanked them for their “tireless support, wisdom and energy”, and said of the new members: “The expertise, insight, challenge and demonstrable track records they bring will be of real benefit to Cambridge Ahead in helping us to perpetuate sustainable growth and improved quality of life across the city region.”
