Two Counties Business Exhibition takes place at Newmarket Racecourse
The free-to-attend exhibition on Wednesday March 14 – featuring seminars from Google Digital Garage, Spirus Marketing and iMET – runs from 10.30am-3.30pm.
The event, organised by Cambridgeshire and Suffolk Chambers of Commerce and supported by the Cambridge Independent, offers a great chance to learn from the best and boasts fantastic seminars, speed networking and a host of stands.
At 2.30pm on the day, iMET, a specialist training facility for construction, manufacturing, digital and life sciences, will be presenting a seminar entitled ‘Working with business to develop the skills for the future’.
Jo Sainsbury, managing director at the firm, told the Cambridge Independent: “Tomorrow at the seminar I’m going to be talking more about iMET, how businesses can get involved, and making sure that the emphasis is on ensuring that iMET is delivering what the region needs from a business perspective.
“The exhibition is sponsored by Alconbury Weald Make/Grow, and iMET is located on the Alconbury Weald Enterprise Campus.
“We saw this as a good opportunity to showcase both Alconbury Weald and what iMET can do within the context of the new development.”
Jo added: “For me, tomorrow is about promoting a collaborative approach; by complementing existing businesses and collaborating together, we can contribute to economic growth in the region.”

There will be a wide array of stands to browse at the Two Counties Business Exhibition.
Among those exhibiting will be the main sponsor, Urban & Civic, which is bringing forward 5,370 acres of land, mostly within 100 miles of London.
Its projects in Cambridgeshire include Alconbury Weald, where 5,000 new homes are being built on a former Cold War airfield – along with an enterprise zone with three million sq ft of business space – and the strategic settlement scheme at the former barracks in Waterbeach.
