Virtual stage set for Cambridge Independent SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards

The virtual stage is set to reveal the winners of the Cambridge Independent SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards.

Business leaders and organisations across the county will find out this evening (Thursday) if they have won at a bespoke online ceremony.

The 21 categories will reward excellence shown by a host of small and medium-sized enterprises and employers, along with individuals - a full list of nominees is below.

Many of the winners will go on to compete at the National SME Business Awards, organised by Events&PR, in which winners from counties up and down the country vie for victory.

Cambridge Independent editor Paul Brackley said: “We all know that it has been a very challenging time for businesses and we are delighted to be able to celebrate some of their achievements and successes with this ceremony.

“These awards recognise innovation and enterprise, environmental credentials, growth, entrepreneurship and positive impact.

“From Apprentice of the Year to Young Business Person of the Year, they will recognise emerging talent. And with our Business Person of the Year and Business Woman of the Year categories, we celebrate individuals who have made a big impression and will inspire others.

“Awards for Employer of the Year, Best Customer Service and Community Business of the Year will showcase those leading the way in supporting their staff and customers.

“And the awards for Business of the Year - which attracted a fascinating range of companies this year - will go to those who have demonstrated resilience and innovation in a year of great turmoil.

“We are grateful for the work of our judging panel in helping us to determine the winners, and to our sponsors for their unstinting support, which enables us to celebrate the SME sector across Cambridgeshire.

“We hope that these awards help the nominees and winners to showcase their skills and products to a broader audience and will represent well-deserved recognition for their teams.”

An overall gold award winner will also be revealed.

Winners will be announced live on the night by sponsors, and will be published online at cambridgeindependent.co.uk and at cambridgeshireawards.co.uk following the ceremony, with special coverage in next week’s Cambridge Independent and the next edition of IQ business magazine, out in May.
