Two students celebrate getting their A level results in 2019.

The wait is over for thousands of students across Cambridgeshire as they collect their A-level results today (Thursday, August 13) .

But this year is like no other as the results have been estimated after exams were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

And there has been controversy about how the grades have been decided, with schools in England now being told they can appeal for an upgrade if their students’ A level results are lower than their mock exam marks.

Many schools in Cambridge have decided not to publicly announce their results as the situation is so unclear.

However, it is important to celebrate students’ success and the Cambridge Independent wants to hear your stories throughout the day: your personal experiences, as well as your thoughts on the national picture.
