Coronavirus: Second Covid-19 case confirmed at Cambourne school
A second case of the coronavirus has been confirmed at Hardwick and Cambourne Community Primary School in Cambourne.
Pupils and teachers within the affected ‘bubbles’ at the school are now isolating.
A county council spokesperson told the Cambridge Independent: “We can confirm there have been two positive cases in Hardwick and Cambourne Primary School, at the Cambourne campus.
“Those within the affected bubbles are isolating, which includes some children and some teaching staff, as per our process.
“The school remains open and safe to all other children and staff. Parents have been informed and the school is being supported.”
Other schools in Cambridgeshire have also reported positive cases of Covid-19.
Swavesey Village College, Soham Village College and St Helen’s Primary School in Bluntisham have confirmed infections since classes returned.
