Dog owners urged to join 90km month-long Lead On challenge for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity

A new fundraising challenge for dog owners is being let off their leash by Arthur Rank Hospice.

Lead On is a sponsored walk taking place throughout September, during which owners and their four-legged friends will be tasked with completing 90km (56 miles) in 30 days.

Funds raised will help provide care for people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or life-limiting condition, while help to ensure their loved ones can access much-needed support.

The challenge can be completed at any time and in any location, and each dog participating will receive a dog bandana, treats kindly donated by Grumpy’s pets store and the chance to win an Animo Dog Tracker with the compliments of Smart PetCare.

Sarah Clayton, community fundraiser at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, said: “Lead On is a fantastic new event which will bring dog lovers together to help fund patient care. Completing regular walks throughout September is a great way of boosting wellbeing and fitness as well as exploring new dog-friendly locations.
