FlixBus starts direct route from Cambridge to Paris
Coach provider FlixBus has started a new dedicated direct coach line from Cambridge to Paris from today (Wednesday, July 13).
The first international route to ever serve Cambridgeshire, FlixBus will offer consumers a new direct line to the French capital, including overnight, with trips estimated to take between 10 hours 25 minutes to 12 hours 50 minutes depending on the time of travel.
Providing eco-friendly journeys five days a week, the new route will serve consumers in Cambridge, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as Stratford and Greenwich in London.
FlixBus is hoping to tempt people away from the self-drive holiday, with petrol prices soaring and the price of filling a family car now passing £100.
Andreas Schorling, FlixBus UK managing director, said: “Holidays should be about exploring new places, taking a break from the norm, and above all, having fun! With rail, petrol prices and airports in chaos, going by coach is the obvious choice for reliable, enjoyable journeys this summer.”
She added: “As the world-leading coach provider, we want to continue offering customers the broadest range of affordable travel options. This new line is a key milestone on our journey to becoming the biggest long-distance coach brand in the UK market.”
Adult tickets start from £31.98 and can be purchased at flixbus.co.uk or via the FlixBus App.
