East of England Veterinary Specialists – located at 43 Cambridge Road – was set up by vets Martin Owen and Mark Bush, who found the site advertised on Gumtree.

The surgery has two operating theatres and an imaging suite with specialist veterinary equipment, including a CT scanner and direct digital radiography.

Martin said: “We decided to open East of England Veterinary Specialists to offer a more personal, yet professional service for pet owners in the local community.

“Thanks to funding from NatWest and Lombard, we have been able to create a well-equipped surgery where we can offer the highest level of veterinary orthopaedic expertise.

“We have enjoyed welcoming our first customers over the past month and look forward to continuing to establish ourselves as an expert orthopaedic veterinary clinic, where 100 per cent of referred cases will be managed by a recognised specialist.”
