£100,000 of tools, machinery and materials stolen from Cambridge building site




Thieves have stolen tools, machinery and materials worth £100,000 from a building site in Cambridge.

They struck between 6pm on Thursday June 24 and 6am on Friday June 25 at the Madingley Road site, which is close the junction with the M11.

Police have appealed for the public’s help in catching the offenders.

Det Sgt Ashley Ryan said: “We’re appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area yesterday or overnight to contact us.

“This represents a huge loss for tradespeople who were working on the site and have had important items stolen, leaving them out of pocket and potentially impacting on their livelihoods.”
