19-year-old motorcyclist seriously injured in crash in South Cambridgeshire




A young motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Longstowe on Tuesday evening (22 October).

Police have appealed for witnesses to help them find out what happened in the crash. It is believed no other vehicles were involved.

Emergency services were called to Longstowe Road at about 6.10pm.

The rider of a grey and red Yamaha motorcycle, a 19-year-old man from Hardwick, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, suffering from serious injuries.

Sgt Dan Newton said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen a red and grey motorcycle in the Great Gransden area between 5.45pm and 6.30pm.

“We’re trying to piece together how this young man came to be injured.”

Anyone with information should use incident 404 of 22 October as a reference and report it through the force website.
