28-year-old Northstowe driver dies in A14 crash
A 28-year-old driver from Northstowe has died following a single vehicle crash on the A14.
The collision happened at about 2am today (Wednesday, 11 June) on the eastbound carriageway near Spaldwick.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The road was closed while recovery took place but has now reopened.
Sergeant Mark Atkins said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who sadly lost his life. His family are being supported by our specially trained family liaison officers.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are appealing to anyone who saw the collision to contact us.”
