Thousands of runners tackled the Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon 2020, which took in a new route this year.
For the first time the run, on Sunday March 8, took runners through two University of Cambridge colleges – King’s and Jesus.
The first male and female runners home were both members of Cambridge & Coleridge Athletics Club, which enjoyed a fine day on home turf.
Jonathan Escalante-Phillips stormed home in first in 1:05.36, achieving a speed of greater than 19km/h.
Another Cambridge & Coleridge runner, Chris Darling, was second in 1:07.10.
The first female runner home was the club’s Victoria Knight in 1:14.45, while the second female home was Emma Hodson, of Cambridge University Hare and Hound, in 1:17.16.
Roads were closed for the event.
