The Cambridgeshire Secondary Heads group decided not to share their overall A-level results following the unprecedented amount of turbulence for this cohort of students, with Comberton among those represented by the group.

Head of sixth form, David Clarke told Cambridge Independent: “We are delighted with the overall 2022 A-level and BTEC results. We had record numbers of students applying for university, apprenticeship and degree apprenticeship courses this year and there are many individual stories of success.

“As always, there are a small number of Comberton Sixth Form students who need support with their next steps and these students are working with staff to secure appropriate pathways. We have not experienced particular issues with university applications that we might have expected based on information received from Ofqual or UCAS.”

Among the individuals to be celebrating was Alice achieved A* grades in all her A-level subjects and will be reading history at the University of Sheffield.

Harvey achieved an amazing four A* grades at A-level including mathematics, further mathematics and physics. He has been accepted by Imperial College, London to read mathematics and computer science.

Emma gained four A* grades (and a D1 in global perspectives). She will be studying medicine at Lancaster.

Ollie gained a fantastic result in BTEC Business (L3 Extended Diploma). Ollie will be starting a degree apprenticeship in business management while working as a service coordination and logistics apprentice at Veolia, Cambridge.
