A11 near Red Lodge blocked after crash

A crash has blocked a section of the A11 near Red Lodge this afternoon (Friday, August 4).

Police, as well as fire crews from Mildenhall and Newmarket, and ambulance crews, were called to the A11 northbound at Red Lodge, near the Worlington turn-off at 4.40pm.

This comes after reports of a crash between a number of vehicles.

A Suffolk Police spokeswoman said the road will be closed for some time.

All emergency services remain at the scene.

There are also several miles of tailbacks between Red Lodge and Mildenhall.
