Two out of three lanes remain closed today (Friday 1 March) on the A14 eastbound between J37 Newmarket and J39 Kentford due to the flood. Workers have been on site since February 22 trying to reduce the water level. The road was completely closed for several hours yesterday, but one lane has since been reopened.

A National Highways statement said: “Investigations and clearance works remain ongoing.”

They added on social media: “There is currently no estimated completion time.”

There are currently delays of around 30 minutes leading up to the flood area.
