A kite festival brought high fliers together at Cambourne’s Great Cricket Pavilion.

The event last Sunday (January 15) was hosted by CamCare UK, and organised by the charity’s founder Shrobona Bhattacharya, who is also a district councillor.

She said: “People brought a wide variety of kites of different designs, colours, and sizes made with paper, fabric, and plastic, and were painted with bright colours.

“Community-made food was also available to showcase the different cultures and culinary traditions. Nearly 250 people visited the festival throughout the day and flew the kites.”
