Top restaurant brand has 250,000 possible burger combinations

A second Five Guys restaurant is to open at 18 Market Street in Cambridge next summer.

The company, which already has a branch at Cambridge Leisure Park, handcrafts its burger patties, which are grilled to order and their fries are hand cut each morning and cooked in peanut oil.

The brand boasts that it does not have freezers, microwaves or can openers in any of its restaurants and sources its ingredients locally where possible.

The choice is phenomenal - with more than 250,000 possible combinations for your burger and 1,000 possible ways to customise one of its milkshakes.

The brand was brought to the UK by Charles Dunstone who is an equal partner in the venture.

The company was established in Virginia in 1986 by the Murrell family and opened its first UK restaurant in Covent Garden in July 2013.

This flagship UK store out sells the American equivalent in New York by two to one.

The company also has stores in France, Spain and Germany.
