Appeal after A14 crash near Stow Cum Quy leaves man seriously injured




Witnesses are being sought to a crash on the A14 near Cambridge that left a man in his 20s with serious injuries.

The crash, which involved a Range Rover Evoque, an HGV and a Ford Transit, happened at about 5.14am yesterday (16 January) on the eastbound carriageway near Stow Cum Quy.

Emergency services attended the scene and a man in his 20s, who was driving the Range Rover, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with serious injuries. He remains in a stable condition. The van driver received minor injuries.

The road was closed while the incident was dealt with and re-opened at about 8am.

Sergeant Mark Atkins said: “I’d like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or believes they saw the vehicles in the build up to it, to contact us.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank motorists for their patience this morning, as closing the road caused significant disruption in the area.”
