Appeal after man in 80s dies in collision on A1303 near Bottisham




A man in his 80s has died after a crash on the A1303 near Bottisham yesterday (Monday, March 7).

A red Nissan Qashqai left Cambridge Road and struck a tree at about 7am.

Emergency services attended but the driver of the car, a man in his 80s, died in hospital.

There were no other vehicles involved and no other passengers in the vehicle.

Sergeant Alex Ward, said: “This is a terribly sad incident and our thoughts go out to this man’s family and friends.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the incident and who may have dashcam footage of the moments leading up to it.”
