Appeal for witnesses after man in 50s left with life-threatening injuries




Witnesses are being sought after a man was left with life-threatening injuries in Ely last night.

Emergency services were called to Egremont Street at about 11pm yesterday (Wednesday, November 2) with reports a man had been assaulted.

The man, in his 50s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

Detective Inspector Gordon Blair said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen this man in the moments leading up to when he suffered these injuries.

“I would also like to appeal to anyone in the area who may have dash cam footage to come forward.”
