Armed police called in Cambridge after man ‘threatened with a knife’




Armed police were called after a man was reported to have threatened another man with a knife in Cambridge.

Neighbours spotted the officers in the Barnwell area of the city this morning (16 July).

A police spokesperson told the Cambridge Independent: “We were called to Caroline Hart Walk in Barnwell, Cambridge, at about 10.20am this morning (16 July) after receiving a report of a man threatening another man with a knife.

“Officers are trying to locate him now and an investigation is under way.

“It is believed to be an isolated incident.”
