Armed robber uses gun to threaten Post Office staff in Cambridge
A robber threatened staff at a Cambridge Post Office with a gun before leaving empty-handed.
Police were called to the Post Office in Chesterton High Street at about 3pm on Thursday (February 24) after the armed robber demanded money from staff, only to find he could not get past the security screen.
Det Sgt Ashley Ryan, who is investigating, would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have mobile phone or dash cam footage of the incident or the moments leading up to it.
He would also like to hear from anyone who has any CCTV from the area around that time.
He said: “This was a frightening incident for those working in the shop. I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or might have footage to assist with our investigation.”

Later the same day, at 7.15pm, there was an armed robbery at the Co-op in Linton. Two men with crowbars threatened staff and forced them to open the tills and safe. They stole about £1,000.
