Arrest after pedestrian seriously injured in Waterbeach collision




A pedestrian in his 40s was seriously injured after a collision near Waterbeach.

At about 3.10pm on Sunday (21 January) a blue Skoda Citigo collided with the man on the A10 near the junction with Green End Road.

The pedestrian was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

A 62-year-old man who was driving the Skoda was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs. He has been released on bail until 20 April.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage or believes they saw the vehicle prior to the incident should report it through the force website using reference CC-21012024-0248. Those without internet access should call 101 and ask to speak to a member of the Road Policing Unit.
