Baseball bat-wielding trio push woman to ground in Longstanton robbery

Three men armed with baseball bats entered a property in Longstanton before demanding money from a woman in her 50s, say police.

Officers investigating the robbery, which occurred at about 6pm on Monday (December 18), have released CCTV footage as part of an appeal for information.

The men took the victim’s phone and pushed her to the ground before demanding money.

The victim managed to shout for help and the trio left via fields behind the property.

Detective Constable Sarah Longbottom said: “This was an extremely frightening experience for those involved and I’m keen to hear from anyone who has information about the three individuals pictured in the CCTV footage.

“We’d particularly like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage from Northstowe towards Station Road or Station Road into Willingham between 5pm and 6.30pm on Monday. Also, anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles in the area of Stanton Mereway.”
