Cambourne Christmas lights switch-on will feature some magic entertainment
The Christmas lights will be switched on in Cambourne on Saturday (November 23), with entertainment laid on for all the family.
Santa will be in his grotto - with limited tickets on the day for £2 - and there will be free mulled wine and mince pies on offer in the market square, with festivities running from 5pm to 7.30pm.
The winners of a children’s fancy dress contest will switch on the lights on stage. Entertainer JezO has had to pull out, but live entertainment and magic will be offered by Sammy Magic Magic instead.
Volunteers at Light Up Cambourne, who need to raise £7,000 each year for the event, have suggested a £3 donation per family attending to help cover the costs.
