Cambridge & District Classic Car Club celebrates 30th anniversary at The Cass Centre, Cambridge
The Cambridge & District Classic Car Club (CDCCC) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special event at The Cass Centre in Cambridge on Saturday (21 June).
The building stands on the site of Cambridge University Press, the oldest publishing house in the world.
Fred Leach, chair of the club, said that the Cass Centre was also “where the club started 30 years ago”, adding: “We had around 40 members there, with a wide selection of classic cars.
“The club’s gone from strength to strength over the 30 years, and in total we’ve now got over 100 members from the Cambridgeshire area – plus a couple from further afield.”
If you missed the impressive display of vehicles, members will also be at the Ely Car Show, in front of the cathedral, on Saturday, 2 August. It will be the 10th year the club has been involved with the event.
