Thief stole laptops, cash and an Apple Mac from the Pint Shop

Staff at an award winning eatery in Cambridge have appealed to the public for help in catching a masked intruder who is thought to have stolen a number of electrical items as well as cash from their premises.

Staff at Cambridge’s Pint Shop caught the intruder on CCTV and have distributed the image on its Twitter feed.

The thief struck on June 21 and made off with four laptops, an Apple Mac and cash from the city centre gastro pub.

The intruder was dressed in a hoodie and wearing an eye-hole mask and gloves and was captured on camera at the top of the stairs.

Staff at the Pint Shop called the thief a ‘scumbag’ on Twitter and posted the image of the intruder.

The spokesperson said: “Our Cambridge site was broken into by this scum bag. They stole four dell laptops, a Mac and some cash. Help us catch them please. Any info will help.”

Police say they were called at just after 10am on June 22 after the burglar forced the rear window at about 2am.

The Pint Shop opened in November, 2013 in an empty Grade-II listed office building which dates from 1830 and was once a house in which A Room with a View author EM Forster lived in.
