Man running 10k event to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Among the runners taking part in this Sunday’s Town and Gown 10K will be Colin Jones, managing partner of Cambridge law firm Hewitsons.

He will join those tackling a scenic route that passes Cambridge landmarks and travels along the River Cam. The run, now in its seventh year, is supported by the Cambridge Independent and is organised by Muscular Dystrophy UK.

But runners can also raise sponsorship for their own charities.

Colin, along with fellow Hewitsons partner James Simpson and his wife Val, and Harvey Bibby, director of Ely developer Grovemere, and his wife Heidi, have already raised £2,170 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Colin’s son William suffers from CF.

Online entry for the run closes at midday today (Wednesday) and you cannot enter on the day.
