Cambridge man arrested on suspicion of three break-ins in Newmarket Road area
A Cambridge man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft and possessing and offensive weapon.
Police confirmed they were investigating break-ins at the Abbey Lounge, the Engineers House and The Wrestlers pub.
The Wrestlers pub on Newmarket Road was burgled on on 27 June, while the Engineers House eatery at the Cambridge Museum of Technology on Riverside was broken in to on 1 July. A supporters club building, the Abbey Lounge, at the Cambridge United stadium, was targeted on 2 July.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire police said: ββA 33-year-old man from Cambridge was arrested on Sunday (7 July) on suspicion of three counts of burglary, four counts of theft and one count of possession of an offensive weapon.
βHe has since been released on bail to appear at Parkside police station on 7 October.β
It is understood Kerb Kollective, a coffee shop beside the Cambridge Museum of Technology, also suffered a break-in at the end of June.
