Cambridge police officer dismissed for breaching standards of professional behaviour

A Cambridge police officer has been dismissed for providing misleading information during his recruitment in January 2018.

PC Oliver Guy, who was based in the city, attended a hearing at The Holiday Inn hotel in Impington this week.

He was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of honesty and integrity and discreditable conduct.

The hearing heard the information he provided when applying to join the force may have impacted on his recruitment.

The officer was dismissed without notice.

The misconduct hearing follows another recently at which two Cambridgeshire police officers who posted TikTok videos of themselves on duty and in uniform which damaged the reputation of their force were found to have committed gross misconduct. Both officers were given a final written warning.
