A total of £33,000 has been set aside to start work on Parkside closure

Cambridgeshire Constabulary has set aside £33,000 to begin work on the closure of Parkside police station in Cambridge.

The building will not meet Home Office guidelines for its custody facilities within five years and the site cannot be modified to meet the necessary standards.

At a meeting of the force’s executive board it was agreed to release money for consultancy works, which will then lead towards a full business case.
