This was the stunning sight as the University of Cambridge Primary School created a human rainbow of colour.
The first of many planned ‘unlocking’ events the Eddington school has organised, it marked LGBT+ month, during which children and their teachers are celebrating their diverse community and learning about different types of family.

Children have been learning about single parent, two parent and same sex parent families, and about respect and understanding, so that everyone can feel valued and included, according to the school.

They added that the message was designed to be one of hope, possibilities, and a brighter future.

The children wore outfits of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple and congregated in the school courtyard to sing their favourite songs, and create a human rainbow in the celebration, held on Friday, February 18.
LGBT+ History Month takes place every February to promote equality and increase the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, their history, lives and their experiences.
