Cambridge resident Kouros Majidi tackles four walking challenges to raise £3,000




Tireless Cambridge fundraiser Kouros Majidi, who took on the One Million Step Challenge with Diabetes UK for two years running (2020-21), has undertaken four challenges this Kouros tackles four walking challenges this year.

He tackled the One Million Step Challenge 2022 (which he did in 1,127,593 steps), the London Bridges Wellness Walk (3 hours, 58 minutes, 43 seconds), the Thames Path Wellness Walk (2 hours, 54 minutes, 45 seconds), and the Walk 100 Miles in October challenge, walking five miles a day.

The retired photographic technician, 53, who has type II diabetes and had heart surgery in 2009, says that in total he has raised “about £3,000”.

People taking part in the One Million Step Challenge do not have to limit themselves to walking. They can choose to jog, skip or even dance to reach their target because every step counts.
