Hundreds stood underneath placards and banners in King's Parade.

The protest, which was held outside Great St Mary’s last night, Monday January 30, saw speakers from several campaigning organisations address hundreds of protesters. The video was filmed by Antony Carpen.

It was one of several nationwide protests sparked by President Trump’s executive order that banned immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries.

It also followed a petition set up to stop the US president from making an official state visit, saying if he did so it would be an embarressment to the Queen. It gathered over a million signatures over the weekend and now has over 7,700 from Cambridge and 4,500 from South Cambridgeshire.
