Cambridge Science Centre appoints Rebecca Porter as new chief executive




Cambridge Science Centre’s new chief executive says she is eager to ensure science is accessible and engaging for all.

The appointment of Rebecca Porter, who has served as head of development since 2019, marks an exciting new chapter as the centre continues to grow its impact.

Rebecca has played a pivotal role in expanding the centre’s reach and fostering partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community groups.

She said: “Cambridge Science Centre is a vibrant hub of innovation and creativity, igniting curiosity and inspiring young minds every day. I’m eager to work alongside our dedicated team to expand our programmes and ensure science is not only accessible but also engaging and meaningful for all.”

Harriet Fear MBE, chair of trustees, added: “We are overjoyed to welcome Rebecca as CEO. Her vision and passion for the centre have been evident throughout her time here, and we have every confidence in her ability to take the centre to new heights.

“Rebecca’s leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow and deliver life-enhancing STEM experiences to children and their families.”
