Cambridge Streets ‘glow green’ with walkers at 2022 Star Shine Night Walk
The Star Shine Night Walk – Arthur Rank Hospice Charity’s long-standing, annual fundraising event – returned to the city on Saturday (May 21).
Participants made the streets ‘glow green’ for the 10km walk around the city centre. Donna Talbot, director of fundraising and communications at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, said: “It was wonderful to see so many people supporting the charity on Saturday evening following the much-awaited return of Star Shine Night Walk.
“We were delighted that our community signed up to enjoy the new 10k route and our volunteers once again pulled out all the stops with their support at the Cambridge Rugby Union Football Club and at marshal points around the city.
“We have a fantastic charity team and after a difficult couple of years, it is superb to see them doing what they do best, designing and running incredible events, enabling participants to remember loved ones, and create special memories which will last forever.
“With such a terrific response from all those who took part, we are re-energised and now turn out attention to Bridge the Gap charity walk and Chariots of Fire relay race, which take place on September 11 and 18 respectively.
“Thank you to all those who got involved and if you missed out on our Star Shine Night Walk, we hope to see you at one of these other important events in the Cambridge calendar.”
