Two injured in five-car collision on Newmarket Road in Cambridge




At least two people have been injured, one seriously, in a collision on Newmarket Road in Cambridge, which caused long traffic delays this morning, Wednesday October 13.

Police were called at 7.45am today about the incident which blocked Newmarket Road. They have warned drivers to stay away from the area. Some bus services have also been cancelled.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said they were called at 7.45am today after reports of a multi-vehicle collision on Newmarket Road, Cambridge in which at least two people were injured.

They added: “According to our logs it has now been established five vehicles were involved. At least one person has been seriously injured.

"Officers and paramedics attended the scene of the collision, which blocked the road."
