Cambridge woman, 86, dies after collision on A1307 at Stapleford




An 86-year-old woman has died following a collision on the A1307 near Cambridge.

The woman, from Cambridge, was a passenger in a black Kia Sedona which was involved in a collision with a grey Fiat Ducato on Babraham Road, Stapleford, at about 7.40pm on Thursday.

She was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital but died on Sunday night (December 4).

The driver of the Kia, a woman in her 60s, was also taken to Addenbrooke’s with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

The Fiat driver, a man in his 40s, suffered minor injuries.

Cambridgeshire police have urged anyone who witnessed the collision, or the vehicles in the build up to it, or who has relevant dashcam footage, to contact them via the reporting section of the force website or by calling 101 and quoting incident 424 of 1 December and Operation Proctor.
