Mill Road in Cambridge closed as fire crews deal with blaze
A fire in a Mill Road property brought travel chaos to Cambridge with people warned to keep away from the area.
The road was closed in both directions initially as police and 20 firefighters attended the scene, before a lane reopened. It has since fully reopened.
The fire broke out near the railway bridge and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue told people told to stay away and seek alternative routes while crews tackled the blaze.
It affected a number of Cambridge bus services while crews from Cambridge, Sawston, Burwell, and St Neots dealt with the building fire, from Sedgwick Street to Kingston Street.
A tweet from the fire and rescue team said: "Crews are currently at the scene of a fire on Mill Road in Cambridge, close to the railway bridge.
"Please avoid the area if possible and seek alternative travel routes as there are closures in place."
Traffic restrictions were lifted at around 3pm.
