Ms Allen visited the school on Friday, July 19, to spend time with pupils, their class teacher Mr Austin and Miss Tweddle, the Birch class teaching assistant.

Headteacher Andrew Simpson said: “We are all exceptionally proud of the pupils’ achievements – they have been fabulous ambassadors for the school throughout the year.

"It is nice to see their hard work recognised in our best SATs results to date – 93 per cent of our pupils achieved the expected standard in maths, reading and writing while 96 per cent achieved expected standard in the grammar, spelling and punctuation.”
