Cath Kidston set to call in administrators

A designer retailer with a store in Cambridge is set to file for administration.

Iconic British brand Cath Kidston has been seeking a buyer for the past two weeks.

The fashion chain, famed for its unique take on vintage designs, has a store in Market Hill.

The company filed a notice of intention to appoint Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) as administrator on Friday, April 3.

Cath Kidston trades from more than 200 shops across the UK and employs 941 people, of which 820 have been furloughed under the government's employee payment scheme.

The business has been contacted for comment.
