Celebrate Arthur Bear’s birthday at Star Shine Night Walk 2025
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is to hold its annual Star Shine Night Walk on Saturday, 21 June.
This year’s event is extra special as the charity’s beloved mascot, Arthur Bear, will be celebrating his birthday on the same day.
More than 400 walkers are already registered for the Star Shine Night Walk, and there are two routes available – a five-mile route and a 10-mile route – both starting and finishing from Shelford Rugby Club.
The 10-mile route takes in the city centre, the Botanical Gardens and the Fitzwilliam Museum, before crossing the River Cam via Bridge Street.
From here it heads round to one of the most iconic views Cambridge is known for, The Backs.
It’s then back round to the other side of the Botanic Garden, through Trumpington and back to the finish line at Shelford Rugby Club.
The five-mile route stays in the Shelford and Trumpington area.
Arthur Bear himself will be attending to wave the walkers off on the day and there will be cakes at the finish line for everyone.
Registrations are still open and walkers aged 10 and over are welcome, when walking with an adult. To register, visit arhc.org.uk/ssnw, or call 01223 675888.
