Grantchester Charity Runs presents proceeds to Addenbrooke’s Charity Trust and Maggie’s
The organisers of the Grantchester Charity Runs have handed over the very welcome sum of £1,500 raised at last year’s event to Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) and Maggie’s Centre Cambridge.
The cheque presentation on Thursday, March 24, also marked the kick-off for the 2022 Grantchester Charity 10k and 3k, sponsored by Bidwells and supported again by the Cambridge Independent.
Richard Pilsworth, head of Bidwells Cambridge, said: “We’re so proud to be sponsoring the Grantchester Charity 10k this year. We’re all looking forward to helping raise awareness and funds for the two charities, the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust and Maggie’s. Both charities are very close to our hearts.”
David Bentley, head of residential and new homes, added: “As a property consultancy and residential agency that has been part of the Cambridge landscape for over 185 years, it is important to us that we play a full part in our local community, while having a little fun of course. Good luck to everyone involved.” Maggie’s provides free cancer support.
The runs will take place on Sunday, September 25. Registration is now open at Grantchester10k.org with early bird rates until mid-July.
