There are big ambitions for Joseph's Big City.
Hopes are high that Anglia Ruskin University student Joseph Namara Hollis’ The Big City could seal a third consecutive Student Illustrator of the Year award for ARU.
Joseph has made a shortlist of five in the V&A Illustration Awards category. Winners get a £3,000 cheque and the chance to have their work put on show in London.
Joseph will graduate from the MA children’s book illustration course this autumn.
He said: “I wanted to have fun with this and I think that freedom has helped me to produce some of my best work.”
His images are made from dip pen and ink and are compiled digitally.
Winners are announced on May 15.
