Officers from the Cambridge neighbourhood policing team carried out a warrant in Kingfisher Way in February 2020.

Inside 18-year-old Chloe Hawes’ bedroom, they found 28 packages of cannabis, 19 packages of heroin and 49 packages of crack cocaine along with some scales, a knife and £345 in cash.

At Cambridge Crown Court last Thursday (October 7), Hawes, who had previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis, was given a nine-month custodial sentence, suspended for two years.

PC Adam Catling, from the neighbourhood team, said: “Dealing drugs, whatever your age, is a criminal offence and we hope this sentence sends as a warning to other young people who might be tempted to enter the world for what might first appear as easy money.”
