Santa is getting on his cargo bike in Cherry Hinton
Father Christmas, with help from his elves, is to tour Cherry Hinton on a cargo bike this weekend.
St Andrew’s Church, Cherry Hinton Baptist Church, Cherry Hinton Residents’ Association, and the Cherry Hinton Festival have all helped organise the socially distanced event.
Other events they've put on include a Christmas lights switch on and a monopoly run,
Santa was preparing for the tour last Friday (December 11) at St Andrew’s Church, assisted by Revd Karin Voth Harman.
Kate Jones, event manager at the Cherry Hinton Festival, said: “It’s just to give a bit of joy for the children so that they don’t feel that they’ve completely missed out on all the lovely things they would usually get to do at this time of year.”
Father Christmas will be touring Cherry Hinton on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (December 19-21).
