An eclectic mix of treasured classic cars from the halcyon days of British motoring gathered in the spacious garden of the British Queen pub at Meldreth.

As well as the iconic Rolls Royce and MG marques there were representatives from more unusual signatures. A magnificent three-litre 1920 Sunbeam and an intriguing three-wheel Morgan Aero were proudly paraded by their owners, alongside a 1937 4.4-litre Bentley with a Vanden Plas All Weather Tourer body, and numerous other varied vehicles.

Although not strictly classified as a community pub because it is privately owned by local businessman, Alan Tobin, the British Queen’s policy is to be an amenity centre for the area with attractions being constantly staged to attract all ages.

The popular classic car gathering is staged on the first Monday of each month and attracts interested owners from a wide area.
