Cambridgeshire police issue appeal after cyclist left with serious injuries following collision with van





A cyclist was left with serious injuries following a collision with a van.

The man, in his late 70s, was cycling along Ashley Road, between Newmarket and Ashley, when he was involved in a collision with a white Peugeot Partner van at about 9.25am on Saturday (March 4).

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge suffering from serious injuries.

The van driver remained at the scene.

PC Alex Bond, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision or either the cyclist or the van in the build up.

“Any dashcam footage will also be very helpful to me in my investigation.”
