Cyclist seriously injured in suspected hit and run




A cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision involving his bike and a car.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

This incident happened on Ness Road between Burwell and Fordham on Tuesday evening (December 1).

A police spokesperson said: "We were called at about 4.55pm yesterday with reports of a collision involving a bike and a car. The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle didn't stop at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 336 of 1 December.
