Cyclist who died in crash near Fulbourn named as 87-year-old John Hunter

A cyclist who died following a collision near Fulbourn last Friday (July 24) has been named.

John Hunter, 87, of Cow Lane, Fulbourn, was cycling along Shelford Road just after 4.15pm when he was involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

Emergency services were called, but Mr Hunter died at the scene.

The car driver was shaken but not injured and has spoken to police.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary urged anyone who witnessed the collision, or the car or cyclist in the lead up to it, or who has dashcam footage, to contact the force us via its webchat service, or by calling 101, quoting incident number 315 of 24 July.
